Hello KHMS! Woohoo, the last full week of 2023-2024 is complete, t-minus 13 days to go! The weather has been cooperating so students have been able to explore and do activities outdoors for classroom time. Our lost and found is piling up and we will be doing a donation dump soon. Please have your student take a look through it if you think your household is missing coats, sweatshirts, a shoe, water bottles, lunch bags, etc.! Thank you to all those who have donated to the 3 Mile Project thus far. We are grateful for the continued contributions from our KHMS families and even more grateful that it is a half day with all the sugar it looks like they will consume!!! Reminder next Friday will be a ½ day with 11:14 dismissal.

Upcoming Dates:
May 24 - Half day
May 27 - No school, Memorial Day
May 29 - Congrats 2024 Graduates
6/4-6/6 - Half days
6/5 - 3 Mile Project
6/6 - Last day of school!

Hello KHMS, with having one more full week of school we can officially see the school year finish on the horizon! Unfortunately, with that being said, this time of year brings on more “unfocused” behaviors. One main issue we are having is vandalizing and disrespect of school property, including our new areas :( KHMS appreciates the support and reinforcement of having pride not only in our building, but community as well! Finally, and most importantly, we would like to wish all our beautiful mom’s and mother figures a day full of rest, relaxation, and appreciation for everything you do, Happy Mothers Day!!

Upcoming Dates:
May 10 - 8th Grade Dance @ KHHS
May 24 - Half day
May 27 - No school, Memorial Day
May 29 - Congrats 2024 Graduates
6/4-6/6 - Half days
6/5 - 3 Mile Project
6/6 - Last day of school!

Hello KHMS, spring vibes are definitely hitting the building, the school year finish line is on the horizon! If you haven’t noticed, construction has taken over our roadways in the area. With that, we have had many tardy students, more so this week. We understand things happen, but late arrivals do interfere with classroom instruction as it causes disruptions. Please be aware, an arrival after 8:00 am is an absence, not a tardy. We appreciate your support in keeping our students accountable, being prepared and on time for the school day!

KHMS would like to congratulate the students who made the honor roll for Trimester 2! We know you have put in the hard work, effort and dedication, GREAT WORK!! Please scroll to the end of the newsletter to take notice of these achieving students!!

Upcoming Dates:
May 10 - 8th Grade Dance @ KHHS
May 24 - Half day
May 27 - No school, Memorial Day
